DLT Solutions and Emu Partner to Provide Open Source Systems Management to Government - 9/6/2006

Cary, NC and Herndon, VA – (September 6, 2006) — DLT Solutions, Inc., a premier government solutions provider and Emu Software, a commercial open source systems management vendor, today announced a new strategic partnership through which DLT Solutions will offer Emu Software’s NetDirector solution to its Red Hat Enterprise Linux customers. NetDirector enhances DLT Solutions’ current leadership as Red Hat’s top government solution provider in providing fully-manageable Enterprise Linux solutions for federal, state and municipal government agencies.

NetDirector is an extensible, open source solution for the management of applications running on Linux, Solaris and other Unix platforms. Because of its seamless integration with the Red Hat Network (RHN) update mechanism, NetDirector complements Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Using NetDirector, IT Managers and Systems Administrators benefit from a single, secure point-of-entry for all patching, provisioning and change and configuration management (CCM) of individual and user-defined groups of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.

This partnership builds on DLT’s market-leading government Enterprise Linux position. Our selection of the NetDirector systems management platform to add to our Open Source product-line was based on input from our customers and our colleagues at Red Hat,” said Rick Marcotte, President & CEO, DLT Solutions, Inc.

DLT’s decision to represent Emu Software in the government sector is an exciting strategic win for us,” said Emu Software Co-Founder, Greg Wallace. “We are committed to the success of our channel partners and to helping them meet their customer’s systems management needs with open source solutions. With NetDirector, DLT’s Enterprise Linux customers can more effectively manage their growing Linux environments and more easily comply with FISMA and other government security and control requirements.”

NetDirector’s secure, intuitive Web interface allows users to configure many servers simultaneously, be they physical, virtual, local or remote, while providing IT management with needed oversight through segregation of duties and hierarchical role-based permissions. This ensures that when a user accesses NetDirector, they only see and can only administer, the specific servers and services to which they have been granted permission. In addition to reducing unscheduled downtown, this feature also ensures easy access to audit trails for control and compliance purposes.
