Example Customization

A manufacturing company was plagued by a lack of control to Solaris servers via SSH. After finding that they were not able to meet the criteria of regulatory compliance they contracted Emu Software to develop a module for NetDirector to start a SSH session to various servers based on the roles and permissions assigned in NetDirector. This added a level of security from NetDirector and gave the end-user the ability to instantly allow or deny access to a large number of servers without requiring them to have user access on each individual server. It also provided tracking of who accessed a given server and when. Upon acceptance of the module, Emu Software includes the commercial module into the subscription mainline to make sure that the module will work with future server operating systems or that feature enhancements can be addressed.
