What does the blue lock icon mean?
There is a blue lock icon next to my Server Agent in the Server Tree. What is this and how do I remove it? The blue lock icon will only appear in the user management screen. It signifies that the service for the specific server (the server with the blue icon) was disabled from the Server in the Service Administration module.

Note: when a Service is disabled on a server in NetDirector, this only means that the service will not be managed from NetDirector. This does not stop or remove the service from the server itself.

To enable the blue lock icon on a server:

  1. Login as the Admin user
  2. Click on "Manage Servers" to go to the Server Management screen
  3. Click the Service button of the desired server in the list
  4. From the service list, click the arrow on the dropdown box for the service you wish to disable.
  5. Select "disable" in the dropdown menu.
  6. Click "Update" to update the server.
  7. Logout as admin and login as user
  8. Select the service which you disabled.
  9. From the tree you should see a blue icon beside the server you disabled this service on.

To remove the blue lock icon, follow the same procedure but select "Enable" instead of "Disable" from the drop down list.
