Information on setting up the network service switch (nsswitch) list via NetDirector
To configure the Name Service Switch List:
- Click on Server Info
- Select the servers you want to manage
- Click on Name Service Switch.
- The Name Service Switch List screen will appear:
Here you can perform three main tasks - Add New Entry, Update Selected or Delete Selected.
To add a new entry:
- Click Add New Entry
- Select a database
- Select a source
- Select the actions for the listed statuses (if desired).
- Click Save, then Back to return to the Name Service Switch List screen.
- Enter a description for the change if desired, then click Save & Apply.
To update an entry:
- Click the checkbox for the entry you wish to update
- Click Update Selected
- Update the entry as desired (database, source, actions and statuses, etc).
- Click Save, then Back to return to the Name Service Switch List screen.
- Enter a description for the change if desired, then click Save & Apply.
To delete an entry:
- Click the checkbox for the entry you wish to update
- Click Delete Selected
- Enter a description for the change if desired, then click Save & Apply.
