Open Source Software is free or usually there is a request for a donation but is not required.

Academic License is a companys way of selling commercial software at a reduced price for students, teachers, etc. It is the exact same software as a normal piece of software only reduced in price. Proof of eligibility is required.

So there is no such thing as open source software with a academic license.
